Beachbrook Labradors is located in the Hamlet of Brookhaven on Long Island’s  South Shore. In the world of Labradors we are virtually infants!

Our first Labrador came to us in 1968 via the Bide A Wee shelter. She was probably a lab mix, but was a Labrador at heart. We became enamored of the breed and decided that our next dog would be a purebred.

We purchased a beautiful Labrador bitch from a breeder with the intention of showing her, she had other ideas!! Although she really didn't want to prance around the show ring, she had a very good pedigree and was bred to Ch Hennings Mills Master Blend. This breeding produced our first home bred Labrador, a lovely chocolate girl who in turn was bred to Cacao's Hot to Trot. From this breeding we got our first homebred Champion Beachbrooks Dream Weaver. Dreamer was a beautiful chocolate girl that absolutely loved being the center of attention. We also purchased a lovely Yellow bitch that easily completed her championship to become Ch Venetians Bourbon Street. All of our current dogs are directly related to these original 2 girls, with the exception of one bitch that was added last year to expand our gene pool.

Many of our pups have gone on to complete conformation, obedience and field titles. A few are in training as explosive detection dogs and a couple are involved in agility. What we are most proud of are the dogs that are loving, loyal members of families. You know the kind; they sit on your feet at night, follow the kids around, and are always happy to see you!!! In other words, the perfect pet. Because we want our dogs to become vital members of families we place the utmost importance on health and temperament.
